🌟 Welcoming Dale “DJ” Elbert to the BFT Team!

We are beyond excited to welcome Dale “DJ” Elbert to the Bringing Families Together family! DJ joined our Case Management Team in February 2025 as a Family Service Worker, and it didn’t take long for him to make a big impact.

With a B.A. and a background as a Marine Corps Recruiter, DJ has long been committed to developing programs for youth and helping them find stable paths to success. That heart for service shines through in his work with our families—and his support for his fellow team members.

At BFT, DJ is already known as the one who’s everywhere, doing everything. Whether he’s encouraging a teammate, problem-solving on the fly, or stepping in to lend a hand, DJ shows up for others again and again. He even braved grill malfunctions and surprise rain to cook for the whole team during our recent St. Louis Cardinals Opening Day – Team Appreciation event! 🔥⚾️ (Check out that celebration here.)

Oh—and if you're ever wondering what the St. Louis weather’s up to? DJ’s probably already told the whole team. 🌦️😊

As a Family Service Worker, DJ plays a critical role in walking alongside families whose children have entered foster care due to abuse or neglect. He helps link families to resources, ensures the safety and well-being of the children in care, and supports families working toward reunification—or another safe, loving permanency plan when reunification isn’t possible.

We are so thankful to have DJ’s energy, heart and can-do spirit on our team!
