Saint Louis Partners (SLP) hosted three showings of the Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot this August for our foster care resource families, potential foster care resource families and our SLP team members!
We endeavor to provide support for our foster and adoptive families, which includes tangible support and also inspirational and self-care support. The Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot is an uplifting and power-filled story of how Reverend Martin and his wife Donna Martin, in their small Bennett Chapel church of Possum Trot, East Texas, were able to help 77 of the most difficult to place children become adopted by 22 families.
This movie provided current foster and adoptive parents with an opportunity to have parent-time, see what other families have experienced and know they are not alone in doing this important work to support our youth. You are never alone - we are always here for you!
