🌟June Employee of the Month: DeRon Terry🌟

Some people just have a gift.

And if you’ve ever seen DeRon Terry with a little one in his arms, you’ve seen that gift in action.

DeRon—affectionately known around the office as “the baby whisperer”—joined Bringing Families Together in January 2025 as a Family Service Worker on our Case Management Team. Since day one, he’s been known for his calm presence, his strong work ethic, and above all, his genuine love for the children and families we serve.

“My favorite thing about working at BFT is the children and the babies,” DeRon says.

And anyone who’s met him knows—he means it.

With a background that includes roles as a Family Advocate, Crisis Specialist and Case Manager, DeRon brings a wealth of experience to the table. He also holds an M.S., M.A., and B.S., reflecting his deep commitment to both learning and leadership. But what stands out most is how he shows up every day—with empathy, focus and a heart full of care.

Whether he’s helping support parents, stepping in during a crisis, or simply comforting a fussy baby with his signature calm, DeRon brings a special kind of peace into the room. It’s something you can’t teach—and that we’re grateful to have on our team.

DeRon, your quiet strength and heartfelt service make a difference in so many lives. This month, we’re proud to shine a light on you.
