At Bringing Families Together, our Employee of the Month recognition is always meaningful because it comes directly from the people who work alongside each other every day. Being selected by peers is a special reflection of the trust, respect and appreciation teammates have for one another. 💜

We are honored to celebrate two outstanding members of our BFT team as our May Employee of the Month: Kelly Martinez and Dawn Mathes!

💜 Kelly Martinez

Foster Care Case Management (FCCM) Coordinator | Case Management Team & Resource Team

Kelly joined Bringing Families Together in July 2015 and has spent nearly a decade supporting children, families and the teams who serve them. As an FCCM Coordinator, Kelly brings experience, leadership and a deep commitment to helping families navigate some of the most challenging moments in their lives.

With a M.S. and B.S., Kelly combines knowledge and compassion in her work — always focused on helping children and families move toward success.

When asked what she loves most about working at BFT, Kelly shared:

“One of my favorite things about working at BFT is that everyone here has a sincere desire to help our families be successful through possibly the most difficult situation in their lives. On any given day, I’ve seen every person here giving 100% to our families and in support of one another.”

That spirit of teamwork and shared commitment is something Kelly brings to her role every day.

💜 Dawn Mathes

Lead Family Support Specialist | Home Visitation Team

Dawn joined BFT in August 2021 and serves as a Lead Family Support Specialist on our Home Visitation Team. Through her dedication and consistency, Dawn helps families work toward their goals while providing encouragement and support along the way.

With a B.S. and experience supporting families through home visitation, Dawn brings a caring, steady presence to the work she does.

Dawn describes what she values most about BFT:

“Being part of a work ‘family’ that strives to do our best while assisting our families with achieving their individual goals and making life a little easier.”

That commitment to teamwork and making a difference — one family at a time — reflects the heart of BFT.

Together, Kelly and Dawn represent the many ways our team members contribute to our mission. Whether through leadership, coordination, direct family support and simply being a dependable teammate, their work helps strengthen children, families and communities every day.
