As the year comes to a close, we’re honored to recognize someone whose steady presence and problem-solving skills make a real difference every day — Carol Pine, our December Employee of the Month. 💜

Carol joined Bringing Families Together in November 2020 and serves as our Resource Development Supervisor on the Resource Team, where she supports children and families, and also works with private adoption. She holds a B.S.W., bringing both knowledge and compassion to her work with children, families and her team.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that our Employee of the Month is voted on by peers — and Carol’s colleagues had plenty to say. She’s known for stepping in when things get complicated, creating practical tools (including for emergency respite), managing critical payments, and staying calm even in high-pressure situations. One moment that stood out? During a snowstorm, when challenges piled up quickly, Carol quietly and efficiently helped solve every issue that came her way.

That calm, thoughtful approach is exactly how Carol shows up for the families we serve, too. When asked what she values most about her work at BFT, she shared:

“My favorite thing about working at Bringing Families Together is being able to support foster children and families throughout this season in their lives. I love being able to watch children reunify with their parents and if they are unable then being able to watch them find their forever families. I love the support and care shown by the staff at our agency to these children and their families as well.”

Carol’s work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is far-reaching — helping ensure stability, continuity, and care for children and families during moments that matter most. Her colleagues describe her as dependable, thoughtful, and solutions-oriented — someone they trust when it really counts.
