Bringing Families Together Announces Leadership Promotions

Bringing Families Together (BFT) is proud to announce exciting leadership changes as part of our commitment to strengthening our programs and services for children and families.
As co-founders of BFT in 1999, Elizabeth "Liz" Ervin, Randi Howard and Kim Brown have been instrumental in leading and shaping our mission. Now, in their newly elevated, restructured leadership roles, they will continue guiding BFT into the future—providing exception service to support our children, foster families, birth families and adoptive families.
Kim Brown – Executive Director
In her new role as Executive Director, Kim Brown will oversee community programs and the overall operations of BFT.
Kim previously served as BFT’s Resource Director, playing a crucial role in ensuring the success of our foster care and adoption (foster care) services.
Reflecting on her journey at BFT, Kim shares:
"I love that we have the ability to impact lives and a role in helping children and families have a brighter future!"
Kim’s leadership will ensure that BFT continues to provide exceptional support to children and families while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
"I am excited to step into the role of Executive Director and wanted to take a moment to share my enthusiasm for what lies ahead. Together, we have the opportunity to build on our achievements and continue to move BFT forward. I am committed to fostering a collaborative environment where every voice is heard and valued."
Elizabeth “Liz” Ervin – FCCM Director
Liz Ervin has been promoted to FCCM Director, where she will oversee the entire Foster Care Case Management (FCCM) Team and Resource Team.
She will ensure program compliance and strong outcomes for the children and families we serve through our FCCM and Resource Teams.
Liz finds great joy in her work, sharing:
"Working with our staff and learning new things every day. Watching staff grow in their ability and confidence in working for our families."
She is also excited for the possibilities with her new position, saying that:
"I'm excited to work in new position within our team, FCCM Director, designed to streamline our processes and enhance our impact on our families. This role will allow us to better support each other and the families we serve, ensuring that we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Together, we can achieve even greater success and foster a brighter future for all."
Randi Howard – Business Director
As Business Director, Randi Howard will oversee financial operations, ensuring that BFT has the resources necessary to sustain and expand its vital programs.
Randi has previously led our Private Adoption efforts, among other BFT efforts, bringing a wealth of experience to her new role.
Randi reflects on her favorite part of working at BFT:
"I love seeing all the positive growth in the employees, children, and families as they work to change their situation for the better."
When asked about new position as Business Director, Randi said:
“As our organization evolves, we recognize the importance of adapting roles to meet the dynamic needs of our business and our people. These role changes reflect our commitment to fostering growth, efficiency, and innovation across the company. We are excited to see where these changes will take us and the impact they will have as we journey forward".
