At Bringing Families Together, meaningful connections are at the heart of everything we do — and our June Employee of the Month, Andrew Gray, has a special gift for building those connections. 💜
Employee of the Month is chosen by peers, making this recognition a special reflection of the respect and appreciation Andrew has earned from the people who work alongside him every day.
Andrew joined BFT in August 2024 as a Family Development Specialist on our Resource Team. While he may still be relatively new to BFT, his teammates quickly recognized that he was a natural fit — bringing warmth, dedication and a genuine passion for helping children and families.
In his role, Andrew helps recruit, train, and license potential foster and adoptive families, supporting the important work of creating safe and nurturing homes for children in care.
Andrew’s commitment to this work is deeply personal. As shared in our Men of BFT spotlight, Andrew and his nine siblings were adopted — and that experience helped shape his passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families. His own journey is a powerful reminder of the impact that supportive, loving families can have.
Andrew holds both a B.S. and A.S. degree, including a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He brings curiosity, compassion and a natural ability to connect with others — so much so that teammates joke that “everybody knows his name.”
When asked what he enjoys most about working at BFT, Andrew shared:
“My favorite aspect of working with BFT are the opportunities to help individuals who genuinely need it. I like being able to make a difference.”
That mindset is reflected in the way Andrew approaches his work each day. Whether he’s supporting prospective foster families, helping answer questions, or encouraging others through the process, he brings a steady belief that every interaction can make a difference.
Andrew’s story, his commitment, and his ability to connect with others remind us that strong relationships are what make family-focused work possible.
