At Bringing Families Together, our Employee of the Month is chosen by the people who know the work best—our team. That’s why this recognition is extra special: it’s a reflection of respect, trust, and appreciation from peers. And this month, the spotlight shines on Dawn Mathes!
Dawn joined BFT in August 2021 and has been a cornerstone of our Home Visitation Team ever since. With a B.S. degree and a strong background as a Home Visitation Specialist and Community Support Specialist, Dawn brings both expertise and heart to every family she serves.
Her peers describe her as dependable, hardworking, and deeply committed—and the numbers tell the same story. This past month, Dawn went above and beyond, exceeding her goals while continuing to offer the high level of care our families count on. But what really sets Dawn apart is her perspective on why she does this work:
“My favorite thing about working at BFT and serving our children and families is being part of a work ‘family’ that strives to do our best while assisting our families with achieving their individual goals and making life a little easier.”
Those words reflect the spirit Dawn brings to every home visit and every interaction—with a focus on teamwork, respect and support for the unique journeys of each family.
