About the Role
Do you have a passion for foster care and adoption? We have an opening for a Family Development Specialist working under contract with Missouri Children's Division serving abused and neglected children and their families. This is your opportunity to make a difference for families and children!
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team full time! The Family Development Specialist works directly with potential foster care family applicants to recruit, train, assess and support foster / adoptive / relative families. They also recruit adoptive homes for waiting children.

Base Salary: 43,888

Requirements
Essential Responsibilities:
Work directly with potential foster care family applicants to recruit, trian, assess and support foster / adoptive / relative families
Recruit adoptive homes for waiting children
Education, Skills & Other Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or other human service field is required along with related experience.
Must have at least two (2) years post-degree experience in family and children's services.
Must have access to a reliable vehicle for home visits, with valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
This position requires excellent communication skills (oral and written communication) and a passion for serving children and families, while maintaining confidentiality are required.
